The Madrid Audiovisual Cluster held the second edition of Foro Madrid, an event hosted at CaixaBank All in One to explore in depth the challenges and opportunities posed by new financing models in the industry.
The 2nd Foro Madrid, organised by the Madrid Audiovisual Cluster in collaboration with the Madrid City Council and the Community of Madrid, and with the support of CREA SGR and CaixaBank, served as a meeting point for industry professionals. The forum brought together financial institutions, public-sector representatives, investment funds, production companies and sector experts to discuss the evolution of bank financing and the role of different alternative funding mechanisms in the audiovisual industry.
Madrid as an audiovisual hub
Raúl Berdonés, President of the Madrid Audiovisual Cluster and Secuoya Content Group; Javier Hernández Sánchez, Head of Institutional Banking at CaixaBank; Manuel Beltrán, Director General for Institutional Relations and Strategic Projects at Madrid City Council; and Luis Martín, Deputy Regional Minister for Culture, Tourism and Sport of the Community of Madrid, were responsible for opening the event.

The meeting highlighted the Cluster’s strategy to boost competitiveness and strengthen Madrid’s international positioning as an audiovisual hub. Raúl Berdonés underlined the organisation’s growing activity, which currently includes 127 organisations with the aim of promoting innovation, strengthening the business fabric and generating new development opportunities.
In this context, he thanked the institutional support and continued backing for Madrid’s audiovisual ecosystem, as well as the involvement of partner organisations, members and the board of directors.
The second edition of the Foro Madrid Investment in Audiovisual made clear that combining different instruments, formulas and capital vehicles has become a decisive factor in stimulating business growth, improving professionalisation and enhancing the internationalisation capacity of Madrid’s audiovisual sector.
The event concluded by confirming that Madrid’s audiovisual industry has a solid business base and increasingly sophisticated financial mechanisms to address a new phase of expansion and consolidation both nationally and internationally.
