Raúl Berdonés, president of the Cluster: “The observatory will be a dynamic, constantly updated space that will provide transparency, context and strategic vision at a key moment for the industry.”
The Madrid Audiovisual Cluster has presented the new Madrid Audiovisual Observatory, a space created to compile, organize and disseminate essential information on the evolution of the audiovisual sector in the region. The presentation took place at the Écija Auditorium and brought together the Cluster’s member entities, institutional representatives and other industry professionals, highlighting Madrid’s strategic position within the sector.
The Observatory was created with the aim of offering a clear, rigorous and accessible view of audiovisual activity in the Community of Madrid, becoming a useful tool for professionals, institutions and the general public. Its structure is based on three main areas: Agenda Madrid, which organizes festivals, events and sector activities; Data Madrid, which compiles the industry’s data and key indicators through dynamic infographics and a document repository; and Radar Madrid, a space dedicated to identifying trends, initiatives and emerging projects shaping the future of Madrid’s audiovisual industry.
During the opening, Raúl Berdonés, president of the Madrid Audiovisual Cluster, highlighted the importance of having tools that allow the sector to “better understand its present and anticipate the challenges and opportunities that will arise in the coming years.” He also emphasized that the Observatory “will be a dynamic, constantly updated space that will provide transparency, context and strategic vision at a key moment for the industry.”
During the event, several members of the Cluster’s Board of Directors presented the content already available on the digital platform, demonstrating its usefulness and the impact it will have on professionals and sector entities. Following the presentation, Luis Martín, Deputy Minister of Culture, Tourism and Sport of the Community of Madrid, and Inmaculada Sánchez-Cervera, General Coordinator of the Mayor’s Office of Madrid City Council, expressed their support for the project and highlighted its contribution to strengthening the sector’s competitiveness and consolidating Madrid as one of the country’s main audiovisual hubs.
The day also included the General Assembly of the Madrid Audiovisual Cluster, during which the budget and activity plan for 2026 were approved, and new members who joined since the previous assembly were welcomed—closing a meeting focused on the sector’s growth and projection in the region.
