Founder and Executive Chairman
Raúl Berdonés is the founder and executive president of Secuoya Content Group, a leading international group in content creation, production, postproduction, and distribution. Under his leadership, Secuoya has expanded significantly, with over 2,000 permanent employees and 10,000 collaborators across key markets in the U.S., Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East.
Since 2023, he has been the majority shareholder of the company, the only Spanish-owned independent global content group, committed to sustainability and the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. He is also the president of the Audiovisual Cluster of Madrid.
In 2021, he launched Secuoya Studios, specializing in Spanish-language content for platforms and broadcasters worldwide, offering comprehensive solutions from production to marketing. The studio has produced hit series like ‘Montecristo’, ‘Zorro’, and ‘Supernormal’, along with successful films and documentaries.
Raúl Berdonés also created Madrid Contenht City (MCC), the largest production hub in the European Union. MCC is a key project integrating production, training, and innovation, with a focus on sustainability. It includes The Core School, a university specializing in Entertainment Sciences.
Through the Secuoya Foundation, Berdonés promotes initiatives like scholarships and sustainable filming protocols. Secuoya Foundation is also a co-organizer of the Iberseries & Platino Industria market and joined the Board of Trustees of the Princess of Girona Foundation in 2023.
Berdonés has received numerous awards, including the Antena de Oro and the Best Young Entrepreneur of Spain.
